What to expect

You're getting in early. Here's what that means.

Every Feature, Free

No tiers, no paywalls. During the beta, you get every feature across every platform — iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and CarPlay. It's all yours.

Early & Evolving

This is a real beta. You may encounter rough edges, and features will change based on your feedback. Updates ship frequently via TestFlight.

Your Feedback Matters

Every bug report, feature request, and suggestion helps shape the final app. You're not just testing — you're building this alongside us.

Built by someone who gets it

As a Type 1 Diabetic, I needed something that didn't exist: a simple, private way to track my active insulin. No accounts. No servers I didn't control. No subscription just to see a number that could keep me safe. So I built it.

Every feature in InsulinMe comes from lived experience. The pharmacokinetic models exist because linear decay wasn't accurate enough for my insulin. Privacy isn't a marketing bullet point — it's non-negotiable because this is my health data, and yours.

This app is for every Type 1 who's stacked a dose and wished they could check the maths. For parents tracking their child's insulin. For anyone who takes insulin and wants to know — at a glance — how much is still working.

I built it for myself. Then I built it for you.

Help shape InsulinMe

This beta exists because of people like you. Your experience, your feedback, and your real-world testing will directly shape the app that launches on the App Store.

Built on trust

Privacy First

No accounts. No servers. No analytics. Your insulin data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud — we never see it, store it, or sell it.

Medical Transparency

Decay curves are based on published pharmacokinetic research. Sources are cited in-app. You can see exactly which model is applied to each insulin type.

Safety by Design

InsulinMe provides informational tracking only. It never suggests doses, adjusts treatment, or makes medical decisions. You and your doctor are always in control.

Medical Disclaimer: InsulinMe is an informational tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. Insulin-on-board estimates are approximate and based on published pharmacokinetic models. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions. Do not adjust your insulin regimen based solely on this app.

Common questions

What is insulin on board (IOB)?

Insulin on board (IOB) is the amount of active insulin still working in your body from previous doses. After you inject insulin, it doesn't work all at once — it absorbs and decays over several hours following a predictable curve. InsulinMe tracks this curve in real time so you always know how much insulin is still active.

How do I join the beta?

InsulinMe is available through Apple's TestFlight app. Download TestFlight from the App Store, then tap our invite link to install InsulinMe. You'll get automatic updates as we ship new builds. TestFlight betas expire after 90 days, but we'll always push a fresh build before that happens.

Is the beta free?

Yes, completely. Every feature across every platform is free during the beta period. There are no in-app purchases, no trial timers, and no feature gates. When InsulinMe launches on the App Store, there will be a free tier and a premium tier — but for now, you get everything.

Which insulin types are supported?

InsulinMe supports 19 specific insulin types across every major category: ultra-rapid (Fiasp, Lyumjev, Afrezza), rapid-acting (Humalog, NovoLog, Apidra), short-acting (Regular U-100), intermediate (NPH), long-acting (Detemir, U-500, Glargine U-100, Glargine U-300, Degludec), pre-mixed (Ryzodeg, NovoLog Mix, Humalog Mix 75/25, Humalog Mix 50/50, Humulin 70/30), and weekly (Insulin Icodec). Each uses its own calibrated pharmacokinetic model based on published clinical data.

How does InsulinMe handle my data?

Your data stays entirely on your device and your personal iCloud account. InsulinMe has no servers, no user accounts, and no analytics. iCloud sync uses Apple's CloudKit infrastructure — encrypted and private to your Apple ID. We never see, collect, or store any of your health data. What's yours stays yours.

Is InsulinMe a medical device?

No. InsulinMe is an informational tracking tool, not a medical device. It has not been evaluated or approved by any regulatory agency. It does not provide medical advice, suggest insulin doses, or make treatment decisions. IOB calculations are estimates based on published pharmacokinetic models. Always consult your healthcare provider before making changes to your insulin regimen.

Does it work offline?

Absolutely. InsulinMe works entirely offline. All calculations happen on your device in real time. An internet connection is only used for optional iCloud sync between your Apple devices — and that's handled by Apple's CloudKit, not our servers. Your doses are always saved locally first.

How does cross-device sync work?

Beta testers get seamless sync across all Apple devices via CloudKit. Doses sync to your private iCloud account in real time. Apple Watch uses WatchConnectivity for sub-second sync when your iPhone is nearby, with CloudKit as a fallback. Settings sync separately via iCloud Key-Value Store. Conflicts are never auto-merged — you always decide which version to keep, because insulin safety comes first.

What happens to my data after the beta?

Your data is yours and stays on your device. When InsulinMe launches on the App Store, you'll be able to transition seamlessly. Your dose history, settings, and preferences will carry over. Nothing is lost.

How can I give feedback?

You can report bugs or request features directly through TestFlight — just take a screenshot or send some notes. You can also email me directly at support@insulin.me. Every piece of feedback is read by me.
